This remains the best cognitive exercise. Studies show a strong correlation between this game and its effects in delaying the onset of dementia. You have to alternate crosswords with other search games so as not get bored.

When it comes to jigsaw puzzles, they are fantastic tools for engaging short-term memory. The more the pieces the game has, the harder it is, the higher the reward to your memory.

Video games will require you to react to a stimulus such as a road sign. Playing these games will improve your memory or gain the ability to recall information in the midst of solving a problem. According to recent research, such games will allow you to better cope with distractions when handling critical tasks.
Sudoku
This game has been in the newspapers for many years. The game requires you to keep a series of numbers in your head at the same time mentally rehearsing how you will place them in the nine-space grid. By playing this game, you are heavily exercising your working memory. The game is most effective before you get used to it. If you find it easier, then try a new game.
